MediaOne’s Journey to a Modern Marketing Warehouse

Standardizing data across platforms and reducing dashboard load times from minutes to seconds

Client: MediaOne

Industry: Advertising Services

Region: GA, USA

Company Size: 11–50

Blumie Service: Project-Based Solutions

Executive Summary

As MediaOne’s campaign complexity and client portfolio expanded, so did the demands on their data infrastructure. Their dashboards in Looker Studio, powered by live Supermetrics connectors, gave them fast, flexible access to marketing data,  but at scale, the team needed more stability and control.

Blumie partnered with MediaOne to evolve their stack: we introduced a modern data warehouse on BigQuery and a layered Bronze/Silver/Gold model. The result? Faster dashboards, consistent metrics across all channels, and a scalable base for predictive analytics and AI-driven insights.

About MediaOne

MediaOne is a strategic marketing agency founded in 2015 and based in Atlanta, Georgia. They work with fast-scaling brands to create high-performing campaigns, connecting data across platforms like Google, Meta, Bing, and DSPs to identify opportunities to boost audience engagement and deliver higher ROI.

The Starting Point

MediaOne’s team relied on Supermetrics to connect live marketing data into Looker Studio dashboards. It was fast to deploy and gave them quick access to cross-channel metrics from:

  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
  • Google Ads
  • Facebook Ads
  • Bing Ads

This setup worked well in the early stages, offering speed and low friction. But as the business scaled:

  • Dashboards slowed down with larger datasets
  • Metrics varied across platforms
  • Business logic had to be maintained manually
  • There was no centralized data layer or long-term historical access

These challenges weren’t unique to MediaOne or Supermetrics, they’re common when analytics rely on live API queries instead of a structured backend.

The Solution: A Scalable, Layered Architecture

We designed and implemented a modern data stack using BigQuery as the warehouse and a Bronze / Silver / Gold architecture to ensure clarity, speed, and scalability.

  • Bronze Layer – Raw Data

Supermetrics now automates data extraction into BigQuery, preserving clean historical records for every source.

  • Silver Layer – Standardized Logic

We aligned naming conventions and calculated metrics like CTR, CPA, and ROAS consistently across platforms, giving the team clean, unified views.

  • Gold Layer – Optimized Reporting

These final tables are:

  • Pre-aggregated for Looker Studio
  • Partitioned by date for speed
  • Clustered for filtering
  • Auto-managed to keep costs lean

Results at a Glance

Area Before After
Dashboard Speed Minutes per page load < 10 seconds per query
Metric Consistency Varied by source Unified logic across all platforms
Data Management Manual & Reactive Automated & scalable
Historical Access Limited Full versioned history in BigQuery
Reporting Agility Hard to customize Modular and extensible

What’s Next for MediaOne:

With a solid warehouse in place, MediaOne’s team no longer depends on live queries or manual workarounds. They now rely on daily-refreshed, standardized KPIs to optimize campaigns, track performance, and communicate clearly with clients.

Even more exciting: the new stack opens the door to advanced analytics, including churn prediction, budget pacing, and AI-generated insights, all built on top of their existing Supermetrics pipeline.

They’re now equipped to scale faster, smarter, and with confidence.
